This brewing company, a multinational production facility was about to embark on its cider milling season. During equipment checking they identified a damaged tank that required replacing.
As with any harvest, time is of the essence and Dura Pump had to work quickly to replace the current tank.
Our customer wanted to avoid stagnant water at the bottom of their new tank. We recommended a conical tank mounted in a frame to avoid sitting water. We also advised that the frame have adjustable feet to allow for the uneven surface, so the tank can sit level, optimising its capacity.
The tank was to be situated next to the customer’s current booster system where we also installed a float switch to be wired into the booster set control panel. The float switch acts as a low-level shut-off and prevents the booster set from emptying the tank and running dry.
We also organised a crane and low loader to deliver the new tank and remove the old tank from the site.
The customer now has a modern 10,000-litre cone tank which:
This timely solution ensured the brewing company’s multinational production facility was well-prepared for their cider milling season without disruption.
