Perfect Ambient Heating for Fine Art Deco Building
The Challenge
One of the top ten largest universities in the UK required our help when their old belt-driven Holden and Brooke Starflex pump started to leak in their fine arts institute. The pump was supposed to circulate fluid in the heating system to keep the gallery at a comfortable ambient temperature.
The Solution
We sourced a suitable new Lowara NSCE end suction pump together with expansion bellows and flange with gaskets.
The new pump had a reduced kWh of 0.55 compared to 0.7 kWh. This will also save the university a few hundred pounds per year on electricity bills.
Our experienced engineers made all pipework modifications, electrical and mechanical connections and tested the system before completing works.

The Outcome
Our customer’s building, housing their Gallery of Fine Arts is now once again fully operational at the correct temperature. Their new ongoing maintenance contract will also now ensure that any issues are highlighted in good time and repaired or replaced before the pumps become inefficient or broken.
