Commercial Macerators

Macerators, also known as munchers, are used for effectively macerating raw sewage, sludges and industrial waste. An effective means for dealing with wet wipes, sanitary products and wastewater solids reduction.

Industrial macerators are commonly known as munchers and grinders. Two of the most common types found are Mono Munchers and Muffin Monsters.

They are designed to protect pumps and other equipment by effectively macerating raw sewage, sludges and industrial waste. They are a very effective means for dealing with wet wipes, sanitary products and waste water solids reduction, particularly in the raw sewage application.

Macerator pumps are most commonly installed prior to the pump station or at the head of works to reduce blockages within the pump station, and therefore reducing blockages and resulting costly breakdowns.

Installation can be either pipeline or within a channel, with a guide rail mounted option for easy removal and servicing.

The waste macerator pump is controlled by an intelligent control system, which monitors the load on the cutters and automatically reverses to avoid blockages in the cutters, and prevent motor overload.
