Project update: Birmingham Wholesale Markets

Dura Pump has won the contract for supplying and commissioning the pumping system and macerators for the Birmingham Wholesale Markets.

This 76,000m² site includes the main wholesale market, storage, amenity and gatehouse buildings, as well as a 450-space car park. Food preparation will take place on site and waste food is likely to be swept into the foul drainage.

The macerator systems will reduce this product into suitable waste to be pumped off site. The twin pump system will be approximately 6.5metres deep incorporating valves, level control and two no Rotomec pumps. We look forward to commissioning these systems in the near future.
