Blanking Plates

Blanking plates are used to cap off a pump head if it has been removed for repair. These are typically used on twin head pumps so the other pump can continue to run while the other is repaired/replaced.

We recommend sites hold stock of one per pump type for the twin head pumps.

Description

Blanking Plates what are they and are they really that important?

At Dura Pump we hold stock of many different types of blanking plates as we feel they are important and are necessary for every plant room/site. We hold them in stock because we know you need them.

Blanking plates are an essential piece of equipment when it comes to capping off where a pump head has been removed in a working system. Blanking Plates are mainly used in situations where twin head pumps are in place and one of the two Pump Heads need to be removed.

Putting a blanking plate onto a Twin Head Pump System means that one Pump can still continue to run and the system be fully operational while the other pump is capped off and removed.

To put it simply a Blanking Plate is basically a piece of metal which covers the hole that is left when the pump is removed from its volute.

So we feel it is necessary for you to have some sort of blanking plate at your site or premise in case of emergencies.

Just contact the Dura Pump Team to discuss your requirements and for the exact specification to suit your system. We look forward to hearing from you!
