Featuring a range of innovative electric diaphragm pumps, the Graco range redefines pumping systems as we know them. Boasting an inbuilt compressor unit, these electric diaphragm pumps combine all the key benefits offered by a traditional air-operated diaphragm pump with an electric pump. Users of this range can expect self-priming, stalling under pressure and big savings in energy costs.
- Highly energy efficient
- Dry run capabilities
- Reduced pulsation
- Atex models
An air operated diaphragm pump is a positive displacement pump that traditionally uses compressed air as its power source. These pumps are now also available as an electric diaphragm pump. On standard air operated pumps, the compressed air is shifted from one chamber to the other by a linked shaft that allows the chambers to move simultaneously.
This back-and-forth motion, forces liquid out of one chamber and into the outlet manifold, while filling the opposite fluid chamber via the inlet manifold. Upon changeover, the fluid section that was filled on the previous shift empties into the outlet manifold and the fills the opposite chamber via the inlet manifold. The rapid changeover allows for reduced pulsation at the outlet.
These pumps are available with ball check valves or flap type check valves for handling sheer sensitive products and products with large particles that require gentle handling.
Benefits of the Husky Electric Double Diaphragm Pumps
- Up to 80% more efficient than an air operated diaphragm pump
- The first electric diaphragm pump on the market that will stall under pressure
- Reduce pulsation without the addition of pulsation dampeners
- Mobile cart options available for easy and quick movement
- Can run dry
- Self-priming (no need to fill the pump to operate)
- Patent pending technology allows pump to stall under pressure preventing pump failures from clogged lines or closed valves
- Energy efficient electric drive reduces energy consumption up to 5x compared to traditional air operated diaphragm pumps
- Seal-less diaphragm pump design eliminates leaking and failures due to run-dry pump conditions
