The Challenge

A large aroma manufacturing plant required assistance after receiving the results of an inspection from the Water Authority. Following water regulations is obviously of the utmost importance, and Dura Pump were on hand to make sure they were fully compliant.

Following the plant’s water audit inspection, they were required to protect the mains water from any risk of chemical back feeding.

The Solution


Dura Pump recommended tapping into the existing water supply for the chemical washing machines and also installing a CAT 5 break tank and booster pump. The break tank specified, suitable for a fluid category 5 risk, featured an air gap between the inlet and outlet to ensure contaminated water did not flow back into the mains supply.

The booster pump was adapted and customised to work perfectly for the client’s specific requirements.
