Booster Set Design & Installation for a Large UK Company
The Challenge
Dura Pump was approached by a new client who came to us requesting a booster set that was custom made to suit the dust dampeners they were manufacturing. Their current supplier no longer made the model and right duty booster set they were already using and therefore standard off the shelf booster set which was not suitable for the application.
The Solution
The solution was to design a booster set on a stainless steel base; the pressure vessel, the pressure switch, pressure gauge and inlet and outlet pipe work with valves. This design was compact and robust for the market they were selling it to. It also allowed them to integrate the controls into their existing machinery controls, making it simple to use as well as being cost effective.
The Outcome
As a result, the manufacturer of the machine could use their existing setup including their controls without having to reconfigure anything, therefore saving them design costs and also passing on savings to their customers.
Consequently, the client saved on R&D costs and saved having to increase costs for their customer and provided them with a booster set to match their existing duty and water demand. This meant that their equipment still operated at the correct performance.
