The Dura Pump team have been working closely with Milton Keynes Hospital to complete a full upgrade of their facilities, with the overall aim of improving the experience for both patients and staff.
They were experiencing regular breakdowns and inconsistencies due to a failure in their pump system. Not only was this causing unwanted stress, but it was also putting the comfort and health of their patients at risk. Dura Pump were called and were quick to the scene, ready to find the issue and supply the solution that would get them up and running again.
Upon inspection it was clear that the pumps were old and tired, and weren’t running as efficiently as required. An energy survey concluded that significant energy savings could be made and that the best option was to replace the pumps rather than repair the current ones. In the long-term this would save them both energy and money.
We removed the failing pumps and supplied twin head heating primary and secondary pumps, primary hot water pumps and installed Lowara pumps. The system was also installed with effective inverters and IE3 motors for maximum control and efficiency.
Milton Keynes Hospital now has a fully revamped and updated plant room with a brand new pump system that they can rely on. Complete with a 2 year warranty, the weight of breakdown and interruptions has been lifted.
