Vessels used on Booster Sets
Pressure vessels are used on a booster set to protect the set from stopping and starting regularly, and to cushion shock waves when the demand for water stops or is closed off suddenly, for eg: a tap or valve is closed.
The size of the pressure vessel is linked to the system size.
If you are experiencing mechanical seal failure, consistent fluctuation in water pressure and pumps stopping and starting regularly, we recommend your pressure vessels are checked.
Vessels used on Heating, Hot water & Chilled water systems
Pressure vessels are used in these applications to take up the expansion and contraction of the system volume caused by temperature change.
As the system heats up, the system expands and the pressure vessel absorbs the excess water, as the system cools down and contracts, the pressure vessel discharges to maintain the systems set pressure. If you are experiencing constant fluctuation in system pressure, your pressurisation unit or fill and spill unit is running regularly or pressure relief valve is activating we recommend your pressure vessels are checked.
